We are Mollie and Jackie Singer, two 19 year old fraternal twin sisters from Las Vegas, Nevada, who feel positive actions speak louder than words.

For this reason, we have set very high standards for ourselves, see o
obstacles as challenges, and believe we can and should be positive role models for young people everywhere.

To begin with, Mollie was diagnose
d with Juvenile Diabetes at the age of four. One year later, she suffered through open-heart surgery and one year after that, we decided to turn the frightening experiences in our lives into positive action, and so we began our life of music, fundraising, and advocacy. To date, by using our talent and determination, we’ve raised over a half a million dollars for Diabetes Research and have launched and participated in multiple diabetes awareness campaigns.

We’ve also filmed Public Service Announcement, mentored diabetics worldwide, and on May 8, 2007, met with two of President Bush’s Domestic Policy Advisors at the White House, regarding increased funding for
NIH. However, this wasn’t our first trip to the White House; as a matter of fact, we have met President Bush on three different occasions, worked on a letter writing campaign to President Clinton, lobbied numerous Senators and Congressmen, testified three times before Senate and House Hearings, wrote a booklet entitled The Road to the Cure, for more than two years, filmed an on-going V
ideo Diary for Good Morning America, about living with diabetes and followed the Video Diaries with two educational documentaries.

We didn’t stop there, instead we formed an international diabetic support group called the Diabetic Angels and helped organize grass-root campaigns to support increased funding for diabetes research. We’re passionate and determined to help find a cure for diabetes and committed to assisting those who cannot help themselves.  With our enthusiasm for life and resolve to cure diabetes, it is easy to understand why we are recognized as national advocated for Juvenile Diabetes.

However, diabetes is not the only activity in our  life, in fact, our passion is Country Music, singing, writing, and playing...every hour of day if we could!  We’re normal fun loving teens, who recently graduated from high school, while having completed this feat by taking college level courses during our junior and senior year in high school. However, knowing there is more to life then just advocacy and academics, we spend as much time as we can on our passion, music.

We started singing in childhood and make our first Professional appearance at the age of thirteen, when we performed for the National Finals Rodeo at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nevada; for 18,000 people; and sand How Great Thou Art.  The girls love to sing spirituals and Country Music and have performed at events for the MGM Grand, Harrah’s, Gold Coast, Stardust, Rio, and The Orleans Hotels in Las Vegas, Nevada and at the J.W. Marriot Hotel on Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington, D.C. as well as the Omni Shoreham Hotel for the 2007 National Caring Awards in Washington, D.C., and at the Crowne Plaza in Toronto, Canada.
